Trans* is an umbrella term for people whose gender identity differs from the sex they were assigned at birth. Worldwide Trans people face discrimination, stigmatization and violence in all aspects of their lives. Gender diversity still has a bearing on whether someone can enjoy fundamental rights, like the ability to be recognized by their government or to access health care, education, or employment. COC Is supporting trans initiatives and organizing worldwide and is part of an orchestrated effort to increase technical support for trans initiatives.
