COC’s partner organisations from Belize, Guyana and Haiti together with representatives from the regional networks ECADE and CariFLAGS gathered for the first Caribbean regional meeting within the PRIDE programme. During this meeting the organisations shared their best practices and experience in supporting LGBTI communities in their countries with one another. It was the first time that activists from Haiti partook in a regional meeting where they could share and exchange with peer organisations. The meeting was centered around the identification and selection of regional priorities for the Caribbean LGBTI movement to be commonly taken up by the group in the coming years.
