In a context where LBQ women are invisible and threatened by the majority of Burkinabe society, it is a challenge to gather and be visible. Most LBQ women from Bobo Dioulasso (second largest city in Burkina Faso) and Dedougou cannot access the activities organised by the main LBQ organization – AKBNY, located in Ouagadougou. In order to reach these women, AKBNY organized an event during the Lesbian Visibility Day in order to strengthen links between the LBQ women and bring them out of their isolation.
